The job & what you’d be working on
As a Customer Data Consultant, you will be in a key role in transforming raw data in source platforms into actionable data-driven solutions that drive marketing automation and analytics success.
You'll work closely with client stakeholders to understand their business challenges, assess their current data landscape, and recommend practical solutions in both technology and processes.
With a hands-on approach, you'll help operationalize data, ensuring it delivers real business value. Your expertise will enable clients to unlock the full potential of their customer data, driving smarter decision-making and business growth. You will be in a key role in helping our customers grow their business by operationalising existing data through a hands-on approach.
Your client work could include e.g.:
Creating recommendations on how data can improve customer journeys, from targeting the right customer segments to creating personalized experiences across different channels.
Transforming raw data for business use cases e.g. for marketing, sales or customer service.
Designing data architectures between clients’ data sources and customer data platforms.
Designing and building automated data pipelines to ensure clean, reliable customer data flows between systems (e.g., from CRM, transactional databases, and web analytics tools) to enable actionable insights and personalized use cases
Making data available for AI agents and other solutions. Creating, optimising and fine-tuning AI agents
You’ll be working as a team together with our technology and design consultants in the areas of marketing automation, ecommerce and CRM, for example. All of our consultants are working very hands-on. We are a flat organisation and we don’t have any managerial positions. Seniority means that the more experience you have the more you get to take responsibility for your projects, coach other Roadie consultants, and participate in our competency-specific task forces, account management, and framing our sales offering.
Skills and experience we expect you to have:
Data modeling: Your toolbox includes frameworks and methods to identify data sources and develop models that support acting on the data, both in data analysis and activation.
Data management: Hands-on experience with data management, such as developing data architecture and managing databases. Experience and understanding of ETL and relational databases. Capability of scripting (Python, SQL). Proficient in cloud data platforms like BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Integrations: Some experience in building integrations between data sources, platforms and applications, such as marketing automation tools
Business mindset: Analytical and business-driven mindset, motivated by leveraging data to solve business challenges creatively. Ability to quickly identify business challenges and opportunities, and create an actionable plan for solving them
Domain knowledge: Practical experience working with marketing, sales, or e-commerce. You understand the typical business logic of these functions and how data is used to support the customer journey.
Marketing technologies: We value experience in marketing technologies such as CDP platforms (e.g. SF Data 360, Hightouch, D365 CI Data, Bloomreach, packaged CDPs), marketing automation, CRM platforms, web analytics, BI tools.
Languages: professional proficiency in English

Compensation and benefits
Salaries at Columbia Road are always based on your experience and skillset and we place great emphasis on salary fairness between Roadies. For this role, you can expect the monthly salary to land between 4500-7000€ depending on your level of seniority.
